Platinised Titanium Anode Mesh Basket Type

Platinised Titanium Anode Mesh Basket Type

Platinum as an anode material is very excellent, but its price is very expensive. Therefore, in actual industrial production, it is rare to directly use solid platinum as an anode. Usually, a layer of platinum is plated on other metals, such as titanium, niobium, tantalum, and so on. Platinised titanium anodes use metallic titanium as the substrate and are covered with a layer of platinum, which can achieve both platinum saving and excellent performance of platinum. The platinum plated anodes developed in the early years are all platinum-tantalum plated, which is much more expensive than platinum-titanium plated and has a lower cost performance. However, they also have their own advantages: excellent conductivity and extremely high breakdown voltage.

UTron had provided platinised titanium anode mesh basket type for electroplating to their Slovenia customer. Below are some parameters for reference:

Anode Substrate: Titanium in Grad 2;
Anode Coating: Platinum;
Coating Thickness: 2.5 Micron;
